K P Eashwar
K P Eashwar has been in the publishing industry for the past 18 years. Beginning his career as a copy-editor in The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), New Delhi, in 1992, he grew up to take a lead role in setting up TERI Press, a medium-sized publishing house dealing with publications on energy, environment, and sustainable development. Besides bringing out several publications, he was instrumental in developing an imprint called 'Terrapin', under which a series of environment-related story books for children were published.
In January 2008, he joined Laserwords Pvt. Ltd, Chennai, as Manager (Operations). Laserwords is the second largest e-publishing company in India that provides high-quality pre-press services to top global publishing companies such as Wiley-Blackwell, Pearsons, McGraw-Hill, and Prentice-Hall. In April 2009, he was promoted as Deputy General Manager (Operations).
In April 2010, he formed this venture called ADCS (Academic and Development Communications Services) with the objective of making meaningful contributions to the academic and development sector, especially in publishing. Functioning out of Chennai, the e-publishing hub of the world, he relentlessly works to ensure that the clients of ADCS get the best in terms of professional services.
A postgraduate in journalism and mass communication, he is a guest faculty at the School of Journalism of the MOP Vaishnov College for Women, Chennai.
Anshu Sharma
Anshu Sharma heads the designing, typesetting, and the graphics team of ADCS. She has over 20 years of experience in designing and typesetting different kinds of publications. She has made tens of thousands of pages for TERI Press and other publishers as a freelancer. She is well-versed in working with different publishing software such as PageMaker, InDesign, Illustrator, CorelDraw, and Photoshop. She manages the pre-press operations at ADCS. She brings to the table professionalism and excellent coordination abilities – qualities that make things happen.
S B Sharma
S B Sharma is veteran in the printing and publishing industry, with over 40 years of experience. In his career spanning over 40 years, he spent a large chunk of it with the India Today Group. In Thomson Press, he was heading the foreign accounts division, responsible for quality and delivery. At ADCS, he advises on cost-effective delivery to clients without compromising on quality.

Yateendra Joshi
Yateendra Joshi is a Senior Trainer with Cactus Communications, Mumbai and a Senior Fellow with the World Institute of Sustainable Energy, Pune, where he heads the WISE Press. Yateen has been active in science editing and publishing for more than 20 years, 15 of which he spent with The Energy and Resources Institute, New Delhi. Yateen was a scientist with the Indian Council of Agricultural Research for 10 years before joining TERI, a career switch prompted by a 4-month training programme in editing and publishing at the International Rice Research Institute in the Philippines. Yateen brings to bear on his work his early training as a researcher, evident in Communicating in Style, favourably reviewed in a dozen international journals and newsletters, and his blog ‘Publish and Prosper’ – listed among the top 50 blogs worldwide for grammar geeks – for researchers who do not have English as their first language. Yateen has been a member of EASE, the European Association of Science Editors, since 1989 (and has led the sessions on the quality of editing and on charts and graphs at its international conferences); was an invited editorial fellow at the Washington-based World Resources Institute; was made Associate Fellow of the Canberra-based Communications Research Institute; and is on the editorial board of Information Design Journal. An editor certified by the US-based Board of Editors in Life Sciences, Yateen has conducted many intensive 2-day training programmes on writing skills for researchers and taught semester-length courses on communication skills for postgraduate students of science.
Rajendra Kurup
Dr Rajendra Kurup is an experienced environmental engineer with expertise in wastewater treatment, solid waste management, and nutrient removal. Raj has developed several innovative solutions for anaerobic digestion of solid wastes, nutrient stripping constructed wetlands for high strength wastewater treatment, ANRUP system. He holds patents in developing a cost-effective phosphorus-removing media that can be applied to water bodies and for treatment of P-rich effluent streams.
Dr Kurup is an investment advisor in the area of waste to energy, green infrastructure and sustainability and CDM projects, and has advised many multi-million projects in EU, Australia, USA, and India.
Raj has authored over 50 publications, including a book. He is often invited as a ‘keynote speaker’ at a number of international conferences, in the fields of engineering and sustainable development. Raj also serves as an adjunct professor for three universities – University of Western Australia, University of Missouri, and University of Murdoch – and has supervised honours and PhD students in engineering. He has been an examiner for PhD and masters theses for several universities and reviewer for research proposals for Qatar Research Foundation and similar funding agencies.
Raj serves on the national board of College of Environmental Engineers of the Institution of Engineers Australia and on editorial boards of three international journals and a peer reviewer for several international journals including Water Environment Research, Water Research, Science of the Total Environment. He was chair of SSEE07 - International Conference on Engineering Sustainability.
Geetha Krishnan
Dr Geetha Krishnan is an Ayurveda doctor by profession. He practises at Medanta The Medicity Hospital at Gurgaon, India. He has been promoting Ayurveda, the ancient Indian science of life, at the global level at various forums. He is the Organising Secretary of the World Ayurveda Congress, a movement that promotes Ayurveda within the country and overseas. Despite his obvious inclination towards Ayurveda, he is a keen observer of the developments in modern science and believes that ‘integrative medicine’ has a lot to offer for promoting better health. He sees great potential in using the best of both worlds – ancient and modern sciences – to cure ‘modern’ illnesses and minimize the side effects of modern medicines. He is Associate Editor of Ayurveda Integrative Medicine and contributes to this new branch of study in the field of medicine.
